my History of Kenpo in australia
I began training in December 1975 in Sydney, Australia.
On the 12th of December 1982 I was promoted to 1st
Black. I continued to study and was fortunate enough
to meet the Founder of American Kenpo and the president
of I.K.K.A. ( INTERNATIONAL KENPO KARATE ASSOCIATION)
Mr. Edmund. K. Parker Snr. and his team of refined
Kenpoists, these being Mr D Conatser, Mr F Trejo
and Mr L Wedlake. From that day forth Kenpo had
a new meaning for me. Quote "I had now witnessed
and experienced Kenpo as the Founder had intended
it to be."
In 2003 Mr Dennis Conatser promoted me to 5th Black
in the syllabus of I.K.K.O Kenpo Karate, (INTERNATIONAL
KENPO KARATE ORGANISATION). Annually Mr Conatser
and his team of Black Belts return to train, grade
and teach each individual student and to reaffirm
our Kenpo roots. This facet allows us to be on the
cutting edge of Kenpo technology at all times.
Kenpoworld
was opened in May 2006 and is available to host
International Kenpo events. The aim and objective
of Kenpoworld is to make the art available to all
who wish to participate in a professionally operated
environment
